I didn't have any cute flowers on hand to put in this glove so this will do until I get to the garden place. I saw this in a magazine, you get in inexpensive glove, (I paid $1.99 for this pair), cover with a hardener, ie, Mod Podge, put a plastic cup inside while it dries to keep the shape, put in some gromets, a rope/string for hanging and Voila!!!
That's a very cute idea...reminds me of the lady over here that tucks flowers into her husband's old work boots and sets them all along her stone wall.
ReplyDeleteYes I like that Idea too. What old lady is that?

ReplyDeleteWhat neat idea! That would be a cool craft for Madeleine and her buddies.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking maybe I could get white canvas gloves, and let the girls paint designs on them .. or do jewels and beads, etc..
Do you think the hardener would smear the painted designs?
She's not an old lady, well I mean she's like my age so almost old I guess..I can't think of her name but she lives in one of those log cabins right before you turn onto Hogsback Road (approaching the back way)
ReplyDeleteSorry I always seem to add OLD when I use the word LADY, they just go together, we are not ladies we are girls.
ReplyDeleteDenise, Mod Podge goes over anything. The glove didn't come out as hard as I wanted but with a plastic cup in it, it does not matter really. You could do all kinds of things with wire and beads, etc. Go to a discount store for the gloves and wire to save money, it could be a pretty cheap project and nice looking!
It really is a great idea!! The glove looks huge in that photo ..
ReplyDeleteHey Biddie, I can't take all the credit, I saw in a magazine
ReplyDeleteKris, try hitting it with a coat of polyurethane now that it's stiffened. It might yellow eventually, but then you could hang them outside.
