A lot of contacts. I had my annual eye exam last week, I changed from the every two week contacts to daily changers. So to get the $85 rebate, I had to open all the boxes on the right to cut off the bar code, then having no place to store them, an old shoe box came in handy.
I am going to have to concede and go get my eyes checked...I can't see stuff up close at all anymore :P
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could do contacts...they give me the willies!! The thought of putting something on my eyeball ~ yikes!!
Cara likes them though, much more than glasses. Did it take you a long time to get used to them?
I got glasses at 8 years old so when I was 14 or 15 and I was able to get contacts, yee haw. It does not bother me to put them in or take out, but I have been doing it for a long time, you could do it I bet. It costs me $245 a year for the contacts, $50 more than the 2 week supply but healthier than before
ReplyDeleteI tried contacts many years ago - before they were the soft, smaller kind. I couldn't adjust to those rigid, huge things going onto my eye and after a couple of days stopped even trying.
ReplyDeleteI might try again when I go in for my next exam.
Do you take them out each night? Are they the oxygen permeable kind?
P.S. Hope you get that rebate - you had to work for it ..
ReplyDeletefor the last 2 years I had throw away kind, every two weeks I replaced them. I had to use No Rub solution and keep them in a case at night. this year I went to daily changers so I don't need any solution or cases, just a big box of contacts to store!
ReplyDeleteI hate wearing glasses, plus I am so blind that my lenses are so fat I look like coke bottle bottoms on my face
Gosh - I don't blame you at all - glasses with such heavy lens would keep sliding right off your nose. My glasses are semi-coke bottle bottoms and I have to keep pushing them up into place. If I have them any tighter, they would hurt my ears ...
