This was one of my most favorite rides EVER! I seriously think this is the most beautiful place I have been. The view is 360 degree's and amazing. We must have hit it on a perfect day too. It reminds me of Norway too. If you ever have the chance to go here, I'd say go for it!! It's truly breathtaking and I was in such awe, I didn't even take that many pictures, I was so busy just walking around and looking at the view
WOW and ... WOW again!! Spectacular, for sure. Did you feel the oxygen pressure change at that altitude?
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the change in pressure, we took our time walking up those long stairs/steps, I was suprised Ray and the other guys came with me (I was the lone girl) I told them to wait at the bottom but if I drove all the way to Lake Placid, I'll be damned if I don't climb to the top!! They came with me and then found out there was an elevator! ha ha!!
Since I quit smoking 6 years ago, I think my lungs were finally repaired!!
I guess we were pretty lucky to get such a clear day and not windy at all, it's not usually like that.
Good for you, climbing up there! Great views. That's the kind of trip I like, something memorable and challenging.
