Glad the week is almost over and we got a nice dusting of snow. We're getting even more tonight and tomorrow which is supposed to be more of a dumping of snow. At least it's on the weekend and we won't have to be driving anywhere but I did want to go shopping. Guess I'll have to wait and see how the roads look in the morning. I'm in the market for a new car and taking into consideration snow..... I looked at Subaru's because they are AWD but I have also been looking at all the other cars and I just can't make up my mind. Nothing is jumping out at me and making me want to buy it. At least I am not in a big hurry and I can take my time. Have a nice weekend everybody

Vermont Moose

These are a few years old, from 2008 actually when we went to Laconia for Bike week. I saw a lot of moose that weekend, I didn't take these pictures though, a friend did and shared them with me. I never realized how big moose are. I'm spring cleaning my work email's and I had these in a folder marked pictures, what fun to see what I have saved in there, more to follow.....

Merry after Christmas

I fell behind as usual on my Christmas planning, no cards, waited until Christmas eve to shop, put my tree up late, no decorations in the house, just didn't feel it this year, like a few years now, it just isn't the same for me. Once I got to my Mom's house for dinner I did my best to be bubbly and get into the spirit, of course I had some bubbly before I got there to help with the situation, hee hee. I tried............

Ray gave me a new Apple I Mac Laptop which I am just getting used to, it's a bit different but I can tell it will be fabulous, problem right now, I can not update my blog, it won't allow me to upload pictures, I need to get something called Boot Camp to change it to a PC in order to do that. Next on my long list of things to do

I got Corey a dirtbike. Yup I bit the bullet and spent a boat load but he was pretty happy which made me happy that I was able to do this for him, you only live once, what the heck, can't take it with you.....

Hoping everyone had a great Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. I'm heading to NY Friday, hoping for some snow since we are bringing some friends from the Carolina's and they don't get to see snow like we do.

Girls Weekend in NYC

The annual work girls weekend this year is in the Big Apple. We leave today at 3:00pm to drive to Katonah, NY and then hop on the train to Grand Central Station. We're staying right next to that at the Hyatt and having dinner tonight at Michael Jordans Steakhouse YUM! Saturday a day of shopping and then Spiderman Show. I brought my Ipad so I can update my Flickr but I still can't figure out how to update my blog with it, I can with my cell phone still so I will try and put up a few pictures that way. Have a nice fall weekend everybody- Cheryl, we still miss you on these trips!

My large Norwegian Family

60 People came out for a family gathering the first Satuday we were in Norway. I have met a handful of these folks over the years and I was just amazed at how many more relatives I have that I hadnt met yet. They are all so very nice and I was upfront about having a hard time remembering names because there were so many and because Norwegian names are sometimes a lot different and hard for me to pronounce. Sorry for that! How special we felt to have everyone come out just to see us! Thank you for everything!!

Amazing does not even begin to describe this. You can't even get the feel of the size of this place by these pictures. It is straight up and very high, even the grand stands are steep, I was feeling queezy just walking down a few steps. I will be watching more of this on TV and have a greater respect for any one with the balls to climb up there and ski down it!

I got back from Norway on Saturday afternoon about 6 pm and Ray and I went to dinner and I stayed up until about 10 pm which was really 4 am Norway time. I thought it would be best to stay awake and then sleep in Sunday, which I did until 10:30 am. Then I took a power nap about 2 pm Sunday for about 1 hour. I caught up on my sleep mostly but I was still a little out of sorts for a couple days.

Norway is beautiful is all I can say. I hope my relatives reading this know what a gem they have there. I told one of my cousins that he lived in heaven and I really meant it. I had a great time visiting and meeting new relatives. They were so nice to accomodate us with lodging and food! Oh my the food! I thought for sure I was going to need a tractor to get my fat a$$ home but surprisingly, I lost weight, the food must just be better for you there, not so much junk added to the food like we do here.

Thank you again to my family, I am so very glad I took this trip especially with my mother. I have more pictures on flickr which I think everyone knows about now but if not, here is the link again
