I keep calling this guy a hawk but I am not sure what he is. Sometimes you can hear him screetching from inside the office and I have seen him and more of his friends flying around the office. Elaine calls all of us over to her window today to "look at that bird". I just happen to have my camera in my bag of tricks today!

A visitor came to work today
I keep calling this guy a hawk but I am not sure what he is. Sometimes you can hear him screetching from inside the office and I have seen him and more of his friends flying around the office. Elaine calls all of us over to her window today to "look at that bird". I just happen to have my camera in my bag of tricks today!

Or a broad-winged hawk? It has the white band on the tail. See Google image search for pictures.
He's hunting that bird feeder! When I fed my birds in the summer I would have one that sat around the corner of the house in a tree, he would have an excellent view of my feeders. Seems like he'd always hit the mourning doves, I'd find sad piles of feathers here & there. It bothered me as they genuinely seem to mourn the loss of their mate.
