What a beautiful bird ... were these pictures taken thru the window?
Yes I have a lot of woodpeckers almost every day, sometimes two at a time, I can see this tree full of feeders out my dining and kitchen windows. My new camera takes good shots though the glass... Even though I see them a lot, I still get excited, I am glad they come to my yard. I was also given two bird houses yesterday that are built for woodpeckers and birds like them so I will get them up soon.
me thinks this is a yellow-bellied sapsucker (Sphyrapicus varius) :D :D marvelous lil birds
