Cool!! I saw the light! :D
That's a lot of sticks...they would be good to use in the garden. Of course, Harely is there! Yay!
We have a ton of dandelions...I hate them too!! Nasty weed.
So many different things to talk about in your post...
The airplane picture is interesting - almost an abstract! I saw the light also (( grin ))
You must be near the flyway for the Hartfort airport.
Your neighbor is going to have rabbits or more living in that pile of sticks soon if not already ...
So Harley is a walker also - Isn't the company of a kitty-kat fun?
Did they pack down your new driveway with a roller? I like the dark color. Will the loose "gravel" be a problem in the winter when you try to get the snow off it?
I also forgot to add that when I take walks, Whiskers follows me too...It's funny, she's like a dog.
We are in some sort of flight path now, we never used to be and I am not too sure I like it.
The driveway needs to be driven on and packed down, he may get a roller, I don't like it so far, it's hard to walk in heels and I am getting a lot of dirt in my house. Once it is packed down, snow removal will not be a problem.
Those sticks my neighbor has I don't like either, hmmm I sound a bit crabby today, sorry about that.
He is one of those people that works on his yard non stop, even until after 10 pm in the dark, and it looks like he never gets anything done. After that storm happened, everyone assumed the town was going to come take your sticks if there were piled up near the road, not so, they sent out a notice that it isn't going to happen and I don't see why it should, you own tree's, you have to clean up the mess!
And Harley is so funny he follows me all over the place
Dandelion seeds blow in from elsewhere. It's impossible to eradicate them from your lawn. (I like them)
Dang it, sorry for the deleted comment...noticed a typo!!
Anyways, here's my dandelion rant:
I can't find it in my heart to like dandelions...their boorish behavior precludes it.
One or two scattered about can be quite charming and whimsical, after all who amongst us as children never made a wish upon a dandelion before blowing mightily and watching the seeds float away upon their ethereal parachutes?
But, once they get a foothold they crowd everything out, and their deep taproot can deprive neighboring plants of sustenance. Their sunny facades belie a more thuggish nature.
As a gardener...dandelions are anathema to a balanced, harmonious garden.
They do make excellent food for iguanas however.
I too do not mind one or two but when we pay the lawn people all this money to avoid having them and it has worked for almost 10 years, why now are we getting them? The poison isn't working or they didn't even give us any. I used to love to pop the heads off at someone when I was a kid!
"Their sunny facades belie a more thuggish nature."
Oh really! Thugs? Little yellow flowery thugs?
When was the last time you were mugged by a dandelion?
(You who think bulldogs are beautiful.)
Ha!!!
Just don't turn your back on 'em...that's all I'm saying!
:)
P~ why are you up so late?
I'm turning into a night owl. whooooooo.
Did Kevin get the reclaim for you? I would love to get some, is it cheaper than stone?
