It may be that the ones you have had before had seeds that were infertile. Hers probably self-seeded. I love morning glories with their great blue color at the end of the summer.
Hi ~ I was also going to say that I thought it was able to re-seed itself. The wild ones here do it every year. Probably the fancier hybrids are sterile "mules".
