I did not know I had red tulips in this garden. They were not there the other day.

Looking good! I'm envious of your lawn, I have dandelions all over...but I'm organic baby!! I found alot of the flowers on your list...they are on your deck. I put the receipt & change ($20) on your kitchen table. I hope I did ok, I wasn't sure how much of each to buy, so I just grabbed a little bit of each. I can give you echinacea, I have tons of it, also, would you like some purple bee balm? Some of the plants aren't in bloom, so don't be disappointed, they will! I found some Morning Glory there, perfect size for transplanting, don't wait on those, once they get bigger they get damaged easily when you try to replant them. Later gator!
Thank you thank you thank you. Did you find something fun for yourself???? That $20 better not be the money I gave you to spend on your self. I wanted you to get something too for doing that. I am sorry the weather was aweful, I really appreaciate you doing this and I am sure everything you got will be just fine. You always have such nice stuff and a good eye for it. When is this rain going to stop???
The weather was fine, we missed the major deluge, and there were hardly any people. I'm just worry that I didn't pick out exactly the right colors...and I couldn't find fairy grass but they had feather grass which is very close & will give you the same effect. I also added some cosmos in the mix, if deadheaded they keep blooming very well. I stuck mainly with a pink/purple pallette, I did grab some of those little blue flowers that you like, and 1 or 2 yellow to complement the blue...I did find the sweet potato vine, but I also grabbed 2 little variegated leafed vines 'cause they were pretty. Mo helped me hunt down things as well, it was fun! If there is anything you don't like, I'll pay you back for it and plant it over here, so don't be afraid to let me know if you don't!! I've been going back every couple of days as I'm trying to score a mandevilla for Lori, so I don't mind trying again for you if you need something else. Besides, I love checking out the flowers. They were setting up a new display today, they had an antique white bed frame that they were filling with roses (A Bed of Roses...get it??!!) OK, I'll talk to you later.
PS as I'm typing this Tank & Dozer are bombing around like mad men in pursuit of the soccer ball. They are very happy bullies...thanks again.
Ok I feel better now that I know you had fun. Thanks for doing that, I just don't have much time to get there after work and weekends that place is jammed. I will tell Cindy (Okie) how much the dogs liked her balls and Caroline got one too.
I will be happy with anything you got me , I have nothing now, I am going to grab a bag of potting soil either at lunch or on my way home. Maybe I can go up to Ocean state and look for some pots, have you been there and seen any?
Yep, they have those incredibly beautiful, but incredibly heavy ceramic pots...and also the plain jane but oh so easy to deal with plastic ones. If you buy the potting soil there, grab some of those small bags of organic mix along with the bigger bags of soil-they are a very light mix, the plants will do better if you supplement the dirt a little bit. They also have really neat black metal obelisks that would be pretty for your morning glory, you could put one in your rock garden.
what is an obelisk?
It's a metal structure, think of a mini Eiffel Tower that you stick in your yard for climbing plants. When you pull up my driveway, I have 2 straight up by the rhubarb plants...and then there is the rusty one by the garden shed. I don't have my camera right now so I can't take a picture, but when you go into Ocean State they were right there by the garden furniture, and they were pretty cheap too...
hello again...I'm procrastinating..I just cleaned the fish tank, and next I have to clean Sammy's cage..first fish poo, then bird poo..yuk. Oh well, if I keep dragging my heels there will only be more bird poo to deal with.
When I was doing the gardens around our little house in FL I got almost all the plants from Walmart and they are usually great specimen. They also guarantee them for a year.
