It is called Gaylord Opryland Hotel, the place was HUGE, like a city in itself, really, there were like 5 places to eat and a couple bars, shops, paths everywhere, if I was a kid, I would have just loved it there, especially if you had roller skates !
No we passed on the boat ride! but did you see the fish picture in the email I sent you, those were in the boat water part. I thought they were koi but I wasn't sure, they were Gray

What a fabulous place to visit!!! I've seen advertisements for this place - I also saw a documentary on it when they were building it - I've been wanting to go see it in person for years!

What a great place to go for an office trip - no matter what the drugery, this is a fantastic company to work for .........

Yes I can't complain, Although I still do, are we ever happy???
We all saved $500 over the last year, either $10 or $20 per week and in the end we had the money, so all we had to bring was spending money!

You all deserve a lot of credit - a year's commitment to the project - good on ya!!!!

That hotel is fabulous! I visited it once, in the winter, while it was decorated for the holidays. It was amazing.

How many days did you spend in Nashville, and what made you and your co-workers choose it? It's great that you all take a yearly trip somewhere. Is it always planned for the same time?

Did you visit the Bluebird Cafe?

Hi Denise,
I heard Christmas time is a really nice time to go there, they decorate to the hills!
We try to pick a new place every year and when we picked it, we had about $200 saved and Travelocity at the time had a deal for about $500 for the entire trip so we took a chance, we flew down Friday after work, the boss let us out 1 hour early, the airport is only 10 mintues from our work, we got to Nashville about 10:30 pm, there is an hour time change in our favor, we stayed up till about 1 am then had Sat to go downtown, sat night went to Opry and then Some nightlife after till about 1 am again, then we had a 5:30pm flight out Sunday so we drove around a bit, had lunch, shopped, got henna tatoo's, I got home about 11 pm
It was kind of a wirlwind trip but still worth it all.

That's so cool! What a great idea to take a little weekend jaunt for the weekend!

You guys are so lucky to live on the East Coast. All the cool spots are near you. All we've got is Vegas.

Kristen said...

No I don't think so, you have a lot of stuff we probably don't even know about, and my other friends just went to Vegas for a quick jaunt a couple weeks ago, how far is that from you???
