More rain today.... these are from yesterday

Here's a fine place to take a little snooze

Nah, I'll get up and follow my leader around

The birds dropped seeds and I just left them to see what would happen

They did pretty well, not huge but probably 3' tall

Johnny jump ups grow just about anywhere, no one has even stepped on these right near the steps leading up to the house

YUK!!! The Jap Beetles are in my garden by the shed

This is down by the road, I am going to make it bigger next spring

Costco Bulbs
Make great cuttings for inside the office at work, I bring some in as often as I can

Side of the house

These are from Lori (THANKS!!!)

Not sure what this is but it's new and just starting to open

Seedum

See my little follower?

The "shady" garden up on near the other road, did you know we live between two roads?

I have to show off the yard, this is the shady side of the house and the grass never does this well, This rain is doing a great job keeping it green and growing

Here's the firewood pile for a couple of years

New York weekend

I did a really poor job of taking this picture but that black thing is really a loon, they are so quick to dive under the water it's hard to get good pictures of them

Our friend Jeremiah asked us to breakfast Saturday morning, he took us to this B & B he knows about, how nice it was hidden in the woods on this lake, it reminded me of that movie Dirty Dancing. They had a really nice beach down the hill from the buildings and old tennis courts. I didn't take too many pictures and can't even remember the name, I'll find out and post a link if they have one later.

This little fella keeps coming back

I came home from work yesterday and he didn't even fly away when I walked up the deck, opened the door, came back out with my camera and took these pictures

More Hummingbirds

Don't ask me how I spotted it in the tree but I did.

I can't get near them while I am outside but since this right outside the window I can watch them all the time, even Ray is excited and happy to see them there. This last one changed his neck color or was it because it turned it's head?

Ho Hum Sunday..... Not!

So Ray cooked me Sunday breakfast which is basically just a pound of bacon we share...We heard this huge clunk next door and I said hey something is going on, he says Nah.... After that, we were sitting on the couch waiting for some humming birds to come to the feeders, I put them all outside the window near the couch so we can enjoy seeing them, WELL, I look up the road and I said, hey there's a bear.....

We ran out side and our neighbors were just walking behind it with the dogs and the bear just kept on going like he had been there a hundred times before, the dogs were barking, and all the neighbors dogs were barking, he didn't care

So here is Mr, Persnikity red squirrel

And a better shot of the hummers that come to visit, I get about 4 that I can count
They are getting a little more used to me now

I went to Walmart today and the plants were on sale so I picked up some shady stuff for the garden by the road

The Chickadee's are living in here with the babies

Feeding them lots of bugs

~Happy Tuesday~

This flower always looks like a weed to me and then I remember it isn't, I have 2 of them, except the other fell over and got run over by the lawn mower

I got closer and this bumble bee was diving in and out like he was in a puffball

This is the butterfly bush I got from my friend Charlie, it's growing so much taller every year, I can't wait to see it with flowers on it

This flower, I forget the name, is something everyone should have, it gets huge and the flowers last a long time, I have three or four of them in my various gardens.

This was opened up when I got home from work yesterday. It wasn't when I left for work. It smells so nice too. I got it in the pack of bulbs for $20 at Costco in the spring. There were about six and most of them were broken off somehow so this was one of the survivors
