We hit mid 80's today, of course I was sitting in my office most of it, I took a little walk at lunch to the store. Came home and wandered around the yard a bit. My plants are not doing well this year, I have a mess on my hands. I worked out there Sunday for 3 hours, dug up a bunch of things, gave some away, moved some and re-arranged. I went back and looked at my pictures from last year and the year before, I thought the gardens looked a lot better than then do now. So more cleaning up is in order. Here is my little garden helper, one of many that I love hearing the buzz above my head. Sometimes I do get a little jolt of "what was that?" Have a great day everyone!
Here she is with my very proud momma. She finished up with Highschool last night. What a beautiful warm day too and no rain, how lucky to have this so that we all could go since it was outside. Rain would have sent us all indoors and a lot of folks would not be allowed inside.
Just a four day weekend. This is a view from my ny porch. Im having coffee watching the traffic go by and a coyote just ran from our driveway across the road with a bunch of birds chasing it. He must have stolen one of the newly hatched babies. There is a huge family of starlings living in the neighbors overhang on the garage. We also saw a porcupine and a big herring on the ride up. I actually rode my own motorcycle up here 176 miles yesterday!
This was my Grandparents old summer cabin that they used way back in the 40's to come visit Hartland, there are quite a few little old cabins in our town actually, the city folk used to come here, not sure why, we have nothing but woods but I guess they didn't care, it was just nice to get away. So my Dad ended up with this house and then I did, well I had to pay a price for it since my Ex husband made me pay him for it when we got divorced even though he never paid a dime for it, oh well, water under the bridge. I have a new tenant, I call him tenant Dan, he is in the military and here for 3 years out of Westover Airforce base. He seems really happy being tucked back in the woods and seems to have taken a liking to the place, he is doing a great job with yard work and even put up a bird feeder, I hadn't warned him of bears, I supposed I should, he is in prime bear territory down there. So our handy painter Craig is putting new stain on this year, it was way over due. I picked the red color along with a taupe trim, its not done yet but you can get the idea.
