Yuk, Hot and stuff, it was a nice 65 today, couldn't have been any better. Are the smelly fires out?

Madeleine said...

Your very lucky, last night it was 40 degrees!!! Brr!!
Yes, thank goodness, I don't like to breathe in the smoke!

Madeleine - sorry to hear about that terrible forest fire over there in your part of the country - hope they get it all out real soon! Breathing in smoke is not pleasant at all.

Kristen - such a nice looking area that you live in - the colors in the trees are beautiful. By the way, your yard is bigger than I realized!!

Beautiful countryside, beautiful yard, beautiful future woodpile. Any more bears seen around your office?

Hi Girls,
THANKS for the compliments
No more bears, I have just the racoon coming every night and squirrels
I saw a dead Fisher Cat in Granby Yesterday that was hit by a car. Too bad, I would rather see it alive.

Nice pictures :)
I drove down Mountain Road today and I was amazed at how beautiful the fall colors are. This is a good year for color!
Last night I had to get up around 2:00 and the coyotes were in full voice again, but this time it sounded like they were in our yard. Very eerie...have you guys heard them again over there? I think that all those turkeys running around have helped boost the coyote population.

Wow! It's so pretty over there! We're having a lot of wind today. luckily, only one bush blew over. Everything else is still entact!

Looks like we've got some new fires burning, too. That's the worst part of the Santa Ana winds this time of year.

I wish we had all your beautiful foliage!

Kristen - what is a Fisher Cat?

Priscilla said...

You ought to know, Biddie...you have a passel of Fisher cats.

Kristen said...

It's a wild animal, looks sort of like a cat and a wolverine mixed up together, search the internet and you can see pictures, they are dark brown and about 20-30 pounds I guess, they make a horrible screaming noise in the darkness. I used to have one living near my cabin and heard it almost every night, scary noises

Nice scenery shots. When you're done with your little dinky pile of wood, you can come over and help us with our 10 cords.

Kristen said...

Blah Maureen, we just got 2 more cords dumped at the other side of the house, a green load to sit for next year and get dried out. No thanks on the invite, I'll pass, I think I have something to do,, hmmm what was that... ahhh oh yeah laundry , that it, laundry. bye bye

Over here, the leaves aren't doing anything. It looks like summer, feels like summer, I hate it... hahaha

Cheryl said...

Are you waiting for the leaves to completely fall off before posting again?

Dad just saw your posts over on my blog...just remember I warned you about poking the bear :P

Cheryl said...

Just about all the leaves are down, and still no post. Humph...what's up Chickenbutt?
