Cleome (did I get that right?)

Butterfly bush, finally got one flower open

Funny Mushrooms

This one was just out there sitting in the middle of the yard all by itself

These are all over my front garden

Wedding Bells

Nope not ours, we went to our friends daughters wedding yesterday, the day started out like a monsoon and by the time we left the church it was hot and sunny and stayed that way the rest of the day, how lucky for them!! Good sign to the start of thier new life together. Fun was had by all and even though I was still sick I managed to boogie out on the dance floor

Another One for you cheryl

Oldie but a goodie

Cheryl I thought you might like this one, he was so happy to see you and tank this day, I can't wait until he can see your new little one.

Sleeping Beauty

He got dropped off this morning at 6 and went to the couch and fell asleep after he took some pain medication. Kasey his cousin is going to stay with him at our house today when I go to work. He stayed here yesterday with my mom and she got him into the pool up to his waist since it was so darn hot. It's supposed to be hot again today. I on the other hand have caught a cold, sneezing and a very clogged nose and head and I have a wedding to go to tomorrow afternoon, I hope this goes away because that will not make my day very fun when it should be.
I just realized his cast looks like it has blood on it, fear not, it is red marker that he drew on it with!

Got the urchin in the picture

Hope you can see it there on the left, he's black

Can't keep a good guy down

Playstation not a problem
Playing video games & waiting for phone call

Looking up cheats and playing video games still not a problem

Corey Update

We went to an orthopedic yesterday, they took another xray and decided to put a hook on the cast and then a neck sling to hold the arm rather than an elbow sling so it hangs better (kind of like a saxophone neck holder) He said he felt like a dog with that around his neck.

Then they decided to have the cast go up a bit higher on his arm so when they went to do that, they had to sort of twist his arm outwards and it hurt really bad, I had to hold his other hand per DR. instructions and Corey yelled at me to let go, I wouldn't so he kicked me in the legs, so his Dad had to hold the feet down. After about 3 minutes of this, they were done and he was hurting pretty bad so they gave us new perscription for codene and valium (in liquid form) and he went home to Dad's house to chill on the couch and rest.

I will pick him up on my way home from work to come to our house and get some updated pictures to post later. I feel really bad for him since his summer fun is over now, no more motorcycle, bikes, jet ski, boating, waterskiing, swimming, etc.

New Fish & Coral

And here is the Nemo fish, ya know from that movie, up there in the high right
This is a clam with live coral inside, it closes right up if it gets scared or I go anywhere near it, very neat purple/blue color

Got a new mushroom coral there on the right at the bottom, hues of green and orange

Corey's Xray

Boo Boo kid

He is much better now but he looks miserable. I feel so bad, I just can't do anything to make it better
The Shiner is closing up his eye

Swelling in the shoulder

Here you can see how swollen it really is by the size of his unhurt arm/shoulder, I told him he had arms the size of Arnold Schwartzeneger (Sp) and made him laugh a bit

Another nice and sunny day

I was waiting around for the phone call from my boy to tell me what time to come watch him ride motorcross today, the phone rang at 10 which is usually the time he would call to tell me to go to the track, instead of it being Corey, it was his dad asking me for his insurance information because he fell during practice and he was getting into the ambulance. Well after I got a bit more info and where they were taking him, I hopped in my car and drove to Springfield, MA to Baystate Hospital, not knowing where I was going I assumed there would be those helpful blue H signs like Hartford has, well there were a few of those H signs but there are also a few hospitals so I drove all over Springfield for about 45 minutes before I found it, quite frankly I was a bit scared because I was not in a very good sections at times and I think I was the only white girl there, I thought I may get killed really and I am not exagerating.

So once I got there, I was brought into the childrens ER and found he had exrays and he broke his humerous and it was not funny! The bone connecing his arm to his shoulder is totally seperated. He also hit his face some how so he is going to have one heck of a shiner. They put a cast on him and I brought him home. He has to sit in his bed now and only use one hand for the phone, clicker and eating, etc.

All the nurses were very nice and that hospital is small but friendly and we were out of there by 1pm so it was only 4 hours, last time he broke his arm we went to Hartford and didn't get out of there until midnight, so I was thankful for the promptness today.

A few projects going on

I'll keep putting up pictures as it gets going, so far you can try and guess what it will be and hopefully in the end I won't have to tell you, I am not the best painter in the world
Few more signs.

Wine bottles slowly turning into my creations

One of my stenciled signs, sorry for the blur, no you don't need glasses, it's on my end

I'm bored

and so are the cats. Corey just took off to go find his cousin to ride bikes with, it's all wet outside, and inside, the house feels like a wet towel, my clothes, the chairs, bedding, couch, all damp, news said a twister came though CT but not around here, more down by Milford I guess

Rain rain go away...

My favorite bike, mostly because I can't ride it because I don't want to ride it, excercise??? Whats that?

Butterfly bush, has tiny buds on it but way over 7 feet tall

Yep Cheryl was right, way too big for a pot, but very pretty, I have to transplant these sometime soon, next year I can't wait to see them in the garden

Jethro telling me he wants to go out, as soon as I open the door he runs the other way, make up your mind, stupid

Perks at Werk

Sometimes I get an invite to go to a company function at work, this one was for Utica Mutual. They did this last year too and the year before that I went for another company, Andover Companies. They just have us worker bee's for lunch or dinner at various locations. This is St. Clements Castle, in Portland CT. I recommend if you ever get a chance to visit here. You can tour the castle and see all the furniture inside and rooms that have all handcarved moldings, chairs, tables, etc.

The gardens
They mostly host weddings and company functions

The yard over looks the CT river

And here is Wendy admiring the river from way up high, boats were buzzing up and down the river yesterday. The weather could not have been any better. They served us steak, ribs, clam chowder, salad, corn on the cob, watermelon and fudge brownies and last, free drinks, Wendy isn't much of a drinker so we made up a new one for her called Wendy Lemonade. Raspberry Vodka, Lemonade and Sprite, after she got it the whole group was asking for it, very refreshing on a nice sunny warm day.

Not much new going on here lately

Besides heat. it was 95 when I left work at 5, I got to Hartland and it was 88 at 5:30, very humid, my hair is flat as a pancake, neck is sweaty and I don't want these hairy cats anywhere near me and they keep tryin to sit on my lap, Yuk. Where are those darn thunderboomer storms that they promised us on the news? Those dumb weather men, can they ever get it right? Here is a picture to remind us of how cold it was this winter in Yellowstone, Montana, below 30 and colder at some times

Here's a couple more from the parade

4th of July on the 7th of July

These are the fireworks that the town lets off down by the lake, our spot is right next to it so we lay on the ground looking up and you can feel them inside your chest!

This is Bryan with a malfunctioned fire work he bought in NH, it tipped over after he lit it, we were a bit worried but he kicked it back over, lucky it didn't go up his shorts!
