Windy here today

When I left for work, this branch was the only one down, it smashed some of my plants and made me mad

then we came home to this mess, after the December storm we had last year this hardly compares but still needs to be cleaned up and 1/2 of the biggest branch is over in the neighbors house, good thing it didn't hit it

Boring Wednesday

This is cat mint that I planted last year

Things are filling in nicely here, still hating all those hosta's but I'll leave them be for now.
We had to have our septic tank pumped yesterday which is the reason for the hole and tarp over there by the shed. No city water or septic in our town

The Important paper holder is finally hung

I can fit 12 rolls of paper and 2 kleenex boxes in here!!!

Since we had the hallway repainted, I re-arranged some things. I do believe I bought this quilt from Maureen a long time ago when they had an antique store up in Southwick.

I made this red shelf last year, I moved it to a more visable spot at the top of the stairs

TGIF!

This is the white bleeding heart, getting bigger every day

We used to have a big lilac but it was in the shade so it never got any flowers on it. We ended up cutting it down because it was just a big old mess. I saved a couple sprigs of it and planted over where we had a tree cut down and ground up. They sure do take a long time to grow big and get flowers. I think I moved this about 6 years ago.

This is where I planted all those plants I got from Bluestone Perennials last year, the stupid hosta's are taking over again. Cheryl took a bunch one year and I keep digging them up and moving but here they are over taking again

Hi Jethro! Sunning himself listening to the birds singing, we are getting such nice weather lately

Harley didn't feel like posing and gave me the cold shoulder

Something is still living under the shed. We had mulch put down and covered up the hole, who ever lives there pushed out the rocks again

The sunflower seeds are doing pretty good, I put them out on the deck with a good soaking of water every morning to get sun. When I get home they are bone dry so I water again and take them inside for the night.
Tomorrow I am going to get some more trays and zinnia seeds. I read they are pretty easy to grow and come in lots of different varieties

Finished it last night

I have two spots left and then get the back side finished up. I forgot to keep track of my time, I think I worked on this 5 nights in total.

New work friend came to visit

I have never seen a black squirrel in Simsbury, I have seen them in my hometown and Granby before

The weekend has come to an end

This is the white bleeding heart that I got last year, it's getting bigger

My shady garden, lots of this came from Lori last year

Lori's wort, came back happy, I was worried about it last year, after I dug it up and moved it home, it was pretty droopy

Sunflower seeds have sprouted

This is the wood I got from my friends barn that fell down in Granby. He has so much of it but is afraid that people will get hurt coming to get it so he isn't sure what to do with it

I only worked on this for a little bit yesterday while Ray watched golf. it was either this or take a nap!

Before.....

After.... Which way to you like better?
I'll get it hung tonight hopefully. Final picture to follow. The basement is hard to take pictures and show the real color

I trace out the pattern and color it in so I have some sort of direction on where each color goes

This is the magazine it came from.

I caught the Fox finally and what's blooming Wednesday

Thanks Mom!

My Mom came over with a pile of stuff she found while cleaning her attic. I used to draw a lot, especially in Church on Sunday mornings, I remember this dove, I copied it from a church service bulletin

Must be my cousin Susan, she always had wild hair

? What was I thinking? I have no idea!!

A love interest from camp? Oh dear, glad I never mailed this one!! Geez, and in case you are wondering, when we first got there, they made us introduce ourselves and use a word that started with the same letter as your name. Well the ONLY word I could think of is down there at the bottom. Yep again, I am SO glad I never mailed this!!

HA ha Lois my sister!
