More of rug hooking

I got a few more squares done last night and the night before.
Harley likes my new chair and likes to sit on all my stuff that I am working on or sit on me but he gets in my way and I have to push him off.  So he spent the night outside last night and came in to snuggie up in my wool
 Leave me alone already!

Rug Hooking

I have been making punch rugs and punch needle but I was never really interested or good at rug hooking.  I even took a class before, I was pretty bad at it too.  Embarrassing to me bad!  My project in the class looked like a 4 year old did it.  So I put my stuff away and just dreamed some day I could take this hobby up again and make something nicer.
I found a nice lady on Ebay that sells rug hooking kits, all the wool, cut, the pattern on the burlap and a full page color picture as a guide

This is how far I got last night.  It seems this may take me a long time to finish this, I bought a pretty big rug

This is the back side.  Rug hooking is opposite of rug punch, you work on the right side in hooking and you work on the wrong side on punch needle

Looks like a pile of colorful spaghetti!  This is the wool all cut and read to be hooked into the rug

New Deck, Updated again

I have been sick since I got home from Chicago. I must have picked up something on the airplane, although no one else that I went with got sick, just me.  Any how, I am still sick and it the anti-biotics are not completely curing me but I am a lot better than I was.  I just wish it would go away already. I have a scratchy throat and a little coughing left and my voice just does not sound like me.

Charlie our friend and handy dude built us a new deck, it's the same size except he made it nicer than our old deck and made a little spot out for the grill so it does not take up deck space.  I crawled up on the roof to try and get a better view of the deck
