The porch...

Before and after. Our second home in NY is right in the center of town, on a very busy street and in between a hotel and a bar/restaraunt. Every one that comes to visit, loves to sit on the porch and watch the traffic go by, we sit out there for hours sometimes late into the night. So the girls came here for a week of vacation with me this year, the weather wasn't very good, so this became a project for the week to surprise Ray when he came back yesterday.

It looks really good! Was Ray surprised?
What a bummer it rained so much for you, Upstate NY can be like that though. Is the water still really cold? I remember Lake George never warmed up, but I still loved it (we had a house just north of Bolton Landing)

Yes Ray liked it a lot and was glad we got it done. Figures today I get up and want to just get the heck out of here and the sun is shining!
The weather here is so strange, you never know what it will do, last night we got a HUGE thunder and lightning storm and lost power, way to make the last night here even better!!

I love porches like that, where you can sip ice tea in a rocking chair, and watch people go by! Your NY property sounds like the perfect spot - a quaint town, and a large lake for water skiing. What a great getaway. Did you paint those pictures on the walls?

Yes I am back home Cheryl, it was a LONG vacation and not so great weather, I have never been so happy to come back to CT
Denise, ever you want to come sip tea and watch the traffic go by in NY, come on over! We would love to have company, I made most all those signs hanging on the wall.
