Storm Charlotte

Now both my parents have storms named after them, this one after my dear mom, and Alfred was the October snow storm. Our town did a really great job of clearing the roads, other towns are still having road closures, school closures and work closures. I got out of work about 11 am Friday thanks to a very nice boss. Ray and I hunkered down and woke up Saturday to a ton of snow. He snow blowed the driveway and I shoveled the deck.

Great pictures!
How many inches did you get?
We got about 26 inches here and more in other parts of the Island. Suffolk County is a mess! I've been out today and wished I hadn't. Very bumpy side roads, and now flooded streets. Temp near 50 and fog.

Hey P! We got about 27 inches, the lower parts of our state got more than 3 feet. We left work Friday at 11, and had yesterday off because of icy roads. Today is supposed to be warm, we got a lot of rain yesterday so some has melted - a lot of roofs have heavy wet snow on them now, not good to keep that on there. I think we are getting more snow at the end of the week

Great pictures!! I don't miss the cold winters but I remember the observation of a friend ~~ he used to say that the survival energies of Northerners made for better potential employees .....
