Here is an update at the homestead

I saved these Geraniums from the potted plants, I am hoping to keep in the basement until next year
Ray got a new truck and sold his old one to my nephew, he had that old one for 10 Years, thats a record I think. This new one smells so nice and rides like a Cadillac, ... well sort of

My basement project......

I moved a whole lot of stuff so I can paint the floors and walls to make it not so much a dungeon

The geraniums you can keep right upstairs in a window. They are very hardy, I had one that I kept for about 15 years. Cut it back, and keep watering it as usual. They have a tendency to get leggy in the winter light, but it will survive. Next spring, cut it back again and there you go. You might need to transplant it though if it gets too big for it's pot. What color are you painting the basement? You should paint a "rug" on the floor, less time consuming, yet it will warm the space up....

Hi Kristen,

Fyi ... I changed my blog address to http://dmrocblog.blogspot.com/

Painting a rug on the floor is a cool idea!

I am not sure how I would go about painting a rug on the floor, it does sound very cool but how would it be less time consuming? I was going to get that new floor paint two part epoxy (home depo/lowes). Give me your idea you got there Cheryl. Hi Denise!

That's another cool thing about the midwest, and east coast - basements. When my parents lived in Illinois & Maryland, they had the best basements.

I would build a giant recording studio, and game room. :o)

Oh you don't have a basement do you? Kind of like FL. Well I don't think you would want our basements! Mine will get better but it seems to be a a junk collector and Cheryl's is old and stone

My basement is very creepy & scary..I try not to go down there.
Kris, if you just painted a rug...you wouldn't have to move everything out of the basement. You haven't seen this before? I'll look online & see if I can find some examples.
