Great shot! From what you can see, it sure looks like the proportions of a coyote.
Did you take this on your way home from the insurance class?
Yesterday, on my way to town, I passed a poor coyote that had been killed on the road during the night. That's the first one I've seen in a long time. Glad your coyote was very much alive and watching to see what you were going to do ....
I took this picture on my way to work this morning, I saw him coming across the field so I pulled over and watched him for a bit, I didn't have my good camera with me because I brought it inside to download the pictures I took yesterday in Wethersfield. Shoot Shoot Shoot, again I missed some good pictures, I have seen a fox twice now on the same road and missed getting his picture too, from now on I am bringing my good camera with me.
This coyote had light brown/orange coloring and was the size of a german shepard, actually that is what I thought it was when I first saw it.
Interesting. Not a dog then?
It seems like a coyote to me. We've seen coyote's run around that look like wolves.
