Tell me honestly what do you think, Chicken too small? Words too small on top, I just realized it now it is bigger on bottom. I am going to paint the other side too so it can be seen on both sides hanging from a hook on a tree
I kind of like the perspective of the letters, but I do agree that the chicken could be a tad bit bigger.
Or, maybe you could paint some eggs on either side of the chicken to fill in the space a bit. Or just do some simple flourishes similar to a Pennsylvania Hex sign?
Google Hex signs (images) ~ they are actually pretty cool, and you would be really good at creating them!
Might be a new thing you can make for the store :)
Don't sand it off! You have to limit your labor involved versus what you charge! If anything, you can embellish the chicken by painting over it to enrich it's presence.
I will look into Hex signs Cheryl and thanks! We do well together with idea's. Priscilla, the sign is to hang in the boys yard that actually does sell eggs so his mom wanted it to say this, I will have an attachment part on the bottom that says $2 a dozen. When it's all done I will put up a final picture of it.

You could paint the chicken yellow and then it would stand out. Do you even need the words For Sale?
