Coyote?

Dog and Coyote are so close how do you tell the difference? My neighbor told me his dog has been running around because it jumped his fence due to the snow being so high
The prints are too indistinct for me - either a dog or a coyote. It's almost something that you could deduce - if the tracks go straight through the area, it might be a coyote traveling through; a local dog would probably meander about somewhat.
I think dog as well. Have you seen any sign of the raccoon returning to live under your shed?
