That would be a good place to put a traffic camera, inside a gargoyle. We have them around here now to catch the red-light violators.
Hi Kristen.
I took a course in basic rug hooking with an evening lesson a week for 4 weeks. The tiny rug kit that I hooked was a small primitive house with a flower. It was approx. 12 inches x 12 inches and this was in 1203. I never bounded that rug , instead I started to design my own rug which was a COW IN THE GRASS in 2004. I copied the contour of a cow from an old frayed weaved cotton mat and added my own touch. I didn't finished that rug until a few years ago when life got too busy.
Last year I designed and hooked my SUNSHINE ROOSTER rug. Also last year I designed and hooked my Forest Secret Challenge rug which is still not bounded.
I've partially designed and hooked a Childhood Memories rug but I need to put it aside for a while because I started to design and I'm presently hooking another Challenge rug. This time it's called Grandmother's Trunk. It's due for April 1st, 2011.
So I'm still fairly new at rug hooking but I always like a challenge and I'm also doing the Virtual Color Palette with April DeConick with dyeing my very own color palette. All this is done in my spare time as I work full time for our Dairy Farm. JB
Julia your rugs are beautiful and I would never have guessed you are fairly new to it. I am amazed at the art that I see in the rugs of the other blogs that I have been finding (some through you) Very talented women and some men out there. They look perfect. You have a dairy farm too!! I dont know how you get it all done!
:)
