Ooooooh, yuk!!! While I feel for the poor little mouse just trying to make a cozy home for the winter, files (and other places in human territory) are a strick no-no!!
Soon after I had moved into this little house, I discovered that a mouse had made its home in the storage drawer at the bottom of my new stove. I left the drawer open and the cats quickly convinced it to move outside .....
Our building is very very old and the last couple winters we have had a few too many mice and droppings left in our drawers and on our desks, we rent from Bank of America and they sent the critter catchers out here who told us they have to catch and release, PETA requirements, UGH, so needless to say, we set our own traps and caught about 4 of them, guess we have to do that again.
I tried to get an office cat but a few allergics were against it
Why does PETA have any influence over Bank of America? PETA is the biggest hypocritical organization out there ~ they were tagged for picking up animals that folks thought would be taken care of and found new homes, but would kill them instead. They were busted for it because the dumped all the corpses in other establishments' dumpsters. Makes my blood boil!!
K, I keep my mouse beside my computer. It doesn't have any teeth, but it does have a glowing red spot on its tummy. (What you need is a red-tailed hawk in residence.)
When we called BOA to tell them we had rodents, they sent out one of those pest remover/killers, I forgot the name of the place, any how, the guy came and said he set traps, well he never caught anything so I said what are you using and he said live traps, we have to catch and release because BOA and Peta have an agreement that they will not kill animals/rodents. I said you have got to be kidding!! So then Cindy set up traps and caught a bunch of them, because the guy said if YOU guys want to set up traps go ahead but I can't. Believe me I do not support Peta either
That's just crazy...I would love to see what the mechanics of that agreement entail. Also frightening in that PETA has enough cachet to influence a major bank's policy towards mouse catching.

Help!! I can't tell what it is ....
A mouse was making a nest in my desk drawer this weekend. I came in to two messy drawers and a critter running across the floor!.

I find it heartbreaking, and the hypocrisy is staggering.
