What a gang of chickens - they must have been really hungry to come rushing to you like that.
I was really interested in his fencing - the fence looks really high - does he have to protect them from raccoons, foxes and such??
P.S. they are pretty chickens - do you know what breed they are?
I don't have any idea what they are, he said they are fed well, they just like to eat anything you throw in there! I was surprised, they like strawberries, grass, veggies....
I bet he gets some wild animals that eat them for dinner, I'll ask him next time I go there
My neighbor's chickens aren't penned up at all - they range all over the place. These are the ones that regularly come over and jump in the cows' grain pans to eat the crumbs.
There doesn't seem to be as many of them now as several months ago. I don't know if it is attrition by other of Mother Nature's critters -or- by my neighbor's havin chicken dinners ..... These chickens are really scrawny compared to your friend's flock.
Wow, that's a lot of chickens!!!
