Painting Project

This is my version (not yet finished) on the left and John Sliney book version on the right. I love this guys painting style and I have all of his books, Cheryl painted me the pumpkin one up on top from a picture I gave her. I have it hung in my kitchen all year because I like it so much

I love seeing pictures of your art projects. I hadn't heard of John Sliney before - your two styles are right in line with each other. Are you getting ready for another fair?

I know Halloween is past for this year but you made a witch a year or so ago that I'd love to purchase as a companion to your witch that I already have.

And .... if I were one of those hybrid pumpkin-oranges, I'd be really nervous also about seeing 3 moons in the sky ....

Kristen, those are really great!! You and Cheryl are very talented.

What do you do with your artwork? Do you have a store, or an online presence, or do you do it as a hobby? You guys are too good for it to be only a hobby..

Thanks Biddie, John Sliney has a web page you can look him up if you search for him. He lives in Wallingford CT so I would like to go to see a place that sells his stuff sometime, if I ever get out of the house besides to go to work!
I am not doing another fair, I think these hard times are bad enough, no one would want to buy my craft reproducions! What companion do you mean? Is there something I have made you like??

HI Denise and Madeleine! Thanks!
Yes I do it more for hobby or to give away as gifts, that is the most fun to see someone's face when they hear you made it for them! Cheryl is a great painter as well as her sister. We all have different styles, it's neat to see how different people can paint something or see something isn't it?

Have you thought of selling your artwork on Etsy.com? I have a friend, who sells her pottery there. You can set up your own online store.

I think people would be interested in buying your work. :o)

Thanks Denise, I have heard of Etsy, haven't thought about doing it, maybe I should give it a whirl!

I saw your comment and that's so funny! My docter has the same birthday as us too!!!

Kristen, is today your brother's birthday too? Wow! Popular day! :o)

I hope he has a wonderful day!!

Yes today is his BDay Denise, and Madeleine and her DR! How did she even find that out!! ha ha, she sounds like a talker, just like my son, they sure do ask a lot of questions! You know Cheryl is married to my brother right?

That's right, Madeleine's doctor's b-day is today too! I remember him visiting me when Madeleine was born. He said, "This is a good day to be born. This is my birthday, too."

Will you all be getting together to celebrate your brother's b-day today? Is Cheryl baking a cake? :o)

Wow Kris, your project looks great! You are a creative dynamo when you get going, it amazes me how you produce so much great stuff in so many different mediums. Thanks for the compliment, but I am in no way close to my sister's league when it comes to painting...not even close.

You asked me about Igor ~ Dave, Nikolas & I are bringing him and the cage up next Sunday. I'm really looking forward to checking out all the butterflies :)

Denise, I baked Dave a lasagna...but no cake, I bought a chocolate French Silk pie for him instead :) I'm not known for my culinary talents, so I'm sure he'll be happy with that lol!
