It's 2.29 here. What a difference!
Is that good?
OMG, I absolutely LOVE your background! Where do you get the cool backgrounds
Hi Madeleine, well considering gas was up to $5 a gallon at one point, $1.84 is awesome, so rather than spending $60 to fill my gas tank, it costs about $25.
If you look at the left side high corner of my blog, it says free blog or something like that, click on it and you will be taken to a screen and you can pick your own and they are free, it's really easy they tell you how to get it into your background. Can't wait to see what YOU pick!
Spectacular picture of Jethro at the top of your blog!!!!!
Since I'm on a slow dialup connection, I didn't get your background picture - all
I could tell was that you had changed your font colors and i couldn't read your posts.
Then when I came here to tell you, I saw from the other comments that you had a special background picture that hadn't downloaded yet. So I went back to your main page and waited. When it finally arrived, I really liked the effect - your artist eye did it again - the background picture is really fine!!!!
Thanks Biddie, I wondered if you would be able to see it because I know you have dial up. I thought Jethro's color would look better with the snowflakes and blue/purples.
I still have not figured out how you get your pictures bigger on the front page of the blog, rather than clicking on them to make bigger. whats your secret?
I had noticed when I finally changed my screen settings from 800 x 600 to the larger resolution of 1064 x 768, that the text and pictures of my blog didn't cover the full width of the screen, leaving unnecessarily wide margins on the side.
So I started digging into the actual source code that you can see under the HTML tab in your Dashboard area. It took me a long time to vaguely understand what all the fancy code did because they are using coding techniques way beyond the basic html code that I know. I finally figured out how to widen the text column and the side column enough to take up more of the screen's width. This allowed me to insert larger pictures in the text column - I also took away the "click to see a larger copy" feature because I store the pictures out on the same server where my website is based. Because of these changes, I have to first upload my pictures to the website server and then when I create a new post, I have to code it to access the picture without links - I don't use blogger's way of adding pictures.
It took me a long time to figure this all out. I have to be very careful if I make changes to the blog's format so that I don't mess it up - I have saved off backup copies of the code just in case blogger's data base ever gets messed up - I don't want to have to go thru the work to recreate my blog's code.
WOW! Then that's good haha? That's way too much money, you shouldn't even have to pay more than $2.
Okay thank you! I'm gonna go choose one, I wonder what I will get... ;)
I changed my background! Do you like it?
Wow Biddie,
that seems a bit out of my league!! I am smart enough to be dangerous on a computer.!!!
What a surprrise! Interesting. I had a black cat once, sweet thing.
Hey Kristen I updated my blog and put more of my art on it!
Madeleine - I'd love to go see how you've fixed up your blog. Also - you're welcome to come to mine if you want ....
Thanks! I commented :)
