Without the speckles they surely would be hard to identify.
This is baby bird time indeed. I was watching some piping plover chicks yesterday through binoculars at the beach. They are only the size of a smidge of dust from under the bed but they run so fast along the shore. One parent bird was doing the broken-wing act to try and lure me away from the spot! I just sat on my log and watched them for half an hour. The sky was clear for a change and the sun felt good. When the fish crows got too close the plovers would dive bomb them.
Congratulations on your clematis - it's a beauty!!
I'm so disappointed that I didn't see the Carolina Wren babies fly away. I just glad that they managed to do it without any of the cats noticing them - I'm assuming that they flew away successfully because I haven't spotted any feathers or such around.
Wonderful mix of colors and shapes in 1st picture.
Oooh pretty! You got close to that bird. Priscilla, bird divebomb me sometimes LOL
Hi! I love your pictures - especially the chick-a-dee, and the action shots of Corey. Looks like summer is in full swing in your neighborhood!
Are you back yet? Did you have fun? Is your garden washed away?
