I left for work this morning and my cousin that lives across the street from me who has a pond had this fellow in his yard, so I put my car in reverse, searched for my camera in a frantic panic and got a shot of him, then the batteries went dead!!Tuesday, August 7, 2007

Oh how cool!! He's on the hunt for some juicy frogs...aren't there a ton of them over there? Good sighting!!
They are beautiful birds. There is one of them that visits my ponds everyday. It managed to get all the fish in the one pond that dried up in the drought this summer. I guess on the balance, it was better for the heron to have many good meals than all the fish suffer in the receding water ....
