Poor Harley...he's a very sweet cat. It's good that he's eating & responsive...those are good signs.

OT, but regarding our phone conversation tonight...check out my posts under the month of May...you might find some interesting items to play with.

Hi there,

I'm glad the CD arrived safely. I hope you enjoy it. :0) Thanks for listening.

I just finished a new song over the weekend. I posted it on a separate blog. You can find it HERE

I hope your cat is going to be ok. Poor little guy.

Cheryl, your renovation sounds daunting, but I can't wait to see the finished result. It seems like a lot more than a new porch is in the works. I'm glad no bears have paid you a visit.

Denise...yes this project's scope has seemed to grow alarmingly! I can't wait until the demolition aspect is over, and the building commences.

Kris, how is Harley this morning?

Kristen said...

Harley is still sliding down the stairs like a snake with no legs. My vet will take him at 8:40 am so my mom is going to bring him there for me, I am so glad she is retired! He ate again this morning and last night he ate and even went outside to go to the bathroom, lady at the vet that answered the phone said it didn't sound like a concusion but of course didn't tell me what it did sound like ! I'll let you know as soon as I find out

Hey just letting you all know the vet called, she thinks he either fell from somewhere high or was hit in the head by the looks of that little hairless spot and he may have nerve damage to his hind leg. She is going to take an xray and get back to me but thinks it is something simple to fix with anti biotics, when I hear more I'll let you know.

Cheryl said...

Antibiotics for nerve damage? Huh, I didn't realize you could treat it with that. I'm glad though that the prognosis sounds good!
Did you have a chance to look through May's posts to find one you like?

Kristen said...

yes I thought that was weird too but thats what I think I heard. I dunno! I checked into May but I have to do that when I go home tonight, I didnt have time but I have ideas....

I'm sorry Kris, but antibiotics just don't sound like the right approach - did your Mom ask why the antibiotics? I know it's time consuming and expensive, but I'd go to another vet ...

Cheryl said...

I just talked to Kris, the vet didn't say that, she thinks she misheard her mom...

Kristen said...

yes I did misunderstand it was some other kind of medication, an xray was being done, I just talked to my mom, she will go get him in a while after she gets done with her work for today. She suggested it was possibly my crazy neighbor too, if he did this and the last injury to my other cat, I will be very mad and upset, not only is he hurting animals he is costing me money

Kristen said...

Vet just called, something about his third vertebre being injured. They are sending him home with medication for anti inflammitory

Cheryl said...

Do they think it will heal up? He probably will have to stay inside for awhile, if you need me to come over to let him out during the day, let me know.

My mother said he is home and on steroids! OMG!!!

Oh and Denise, I loved your CD and the girls at work listened to it this morning on the computers and said you have a lovely sweet calming voice!
