Brrrrrr it's cold

The woodpecker is finally coming to the feeder I put up on the deck, I had two at the same time today but I was too slow with the camera, this shot isn't too good either because there is a screen on the window but you can still see her!

Those poor birds that stay there during the winter - they really depend upon people like you to help them out.

That's a nice view out under the trees beyond the feeder.

I need to start putting seed in my feeders again now that the fall's crop of seeds is about gone. I don't bother during the rest of the year but I do during the winter. We're in for a 48 - 72 hour session where our night time temps are in the upper 20's - then it will bounce back up to the 40's at night.

I have all my tropical plants tucked into the "greenhouse" with a little heat that keeps the temp in the 40's. Some that I can't move are all covered and bundled up - hope they are ok ....

I feed them all year both here and at work, once or twice a bear took down some feeders at home but I have not had that happen in at least 4 years, my road is too populated I think.
That view is right under that big green tree you liked!
and 20 is cold for FL, I always thought it was 70+ there. Brr you may as well live in NE and then you can have all this fun in the snow!
My back hurts from pulling the starter on that snowmobile and shoveling the deck so you are not missing much there
Have a great day!
