Punchneedle to show Mo


I made this one a while ago

probably around Easter by the looks of it

This looks interesting - is this the same technique as used in making a "hooked" rug? This is where you use a little hook type of "needle" and pieces of yarn about 2 inches long and push the yarn thru a webbed base and then tie the yarn off in a little loop around the mesh.

Sort of the same idea except it is miniature version of it, you use a punch needle, threaded with embroidery (SP)floss and you put in a hoop to hold the fabric while you "punch" it through, there is no tying off though, it just stays in there, almost like the old way of doing wool hooked rugs a very long time ago which I am going to try next, I have all the stuff, I just have not had time to sit down and do it
