First big storm of the winter season
I was driving to work in this and the state road was probably the worst I had seen that I can remember, I think they didn't expect this much snow. I turned off the main road to a side road that I take to work and just about hit this tow truck parked smack dab in the middle of the road, stupid place to park, he was picking up a car at a house, so after about 5 minutes he finally moved his truck so I could get by. My normal 15-20 minute commute was about 45 minutes in 4WD in the Tahoe, if I took my car (Nissan Altima) I never would have made it out of my driveway

I was wondering how the drive in would be for you, it is still coming down strong over here. I guess we've received about 6" or so already with no sign of letting up.
Hopefully you can leave early, if it starts turning to freezing rain later that will be a real mess!!
Yes I would advise NOT going out unless you really have to, Ray is selling the Tahoe so once that is gone, I won't be driving to work in this stuff in my car. I figure I can use up a day or two vacation days next time this happens, it's not worth the trouble to have an accident to me. The roads really were bad this morning, I was surprised about rt 20 because Hartland and Granby usually take pretty good care of them, I don't think they thought this much would come down. It's supposed to turn into freezing rain, that will be nasty later so I am sure we will leave early . Have a fun day at home looking out to the beauty of the snow and watching your doggies frolic out there!
Mornin' .... glad you got to work OK - sure hope your boss lets you go early so that there is still some daylight out. Maybe after this storm, Ray will change his mind about selling your Tahoe.
P.S. Your background finally downloaded - my slow dialup sure tries my patience - it's neat to see all the different effects you get - I'm going to go out to their website to see how it works ....
Just transitioned to freezing rain over here, and I haven't heard any plows go by. Fortunately David stayed home today, so I don't have to worry about him.
My pond is freezing over, I have to go out to the garden shed & dig out the heater before it closes all the way over. Tell Ed you heard from me how sloppy it's getting so you need to leave.
You really had some snow! We had a little bit over night but it had turned to rain, torrential rain and wind, by the time I was going to work. But it stopped about noon; there were even some weak rays of sunshine before dark. About 50 degrees now.
