Wow Kristen - You got a lot done already! I can almost imagine you there - in rapid-fire mode - firing away strand-by-strand - bam, bam, bam, bam, bam ....
It is going to be beautiful - is this for the store or for your house?
Many years ago, I tried a punch project - a picture of a little bird - I was fascinated by how the image took shape, strand-by-strand. But I couldn't work on it like you do - my eyes kept getting too tired. Every once in awhile I spot a small project that I think that I might try - one of those prepared kits with the yarn already cut for you.
Did you pick out your colors?
Thanks Biddie
I use yarn from a skein so I use one continuous piece so I only have to change the colors when I finish each color. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet.
The pattern came in the magazine and I used what ever colors I had in my supply that was close to what they suggest.
I bet you could do this project. It's not that hard, just takes practice and time. while Ray watches TV I get bored so it gives me something to do and still appears I am spending time with him!!
Lovely! Wouldn't the colors stand out more with a light background?
Well I supposed light or dark backgrounds can make the primary colors stand out. When I am done we can see how it comes out.
Looks nice Kris, you are such a creative producer!! Do your hands get tired with a project this big?
Hi Cherly
No my hands are not tired, the burlap I used is such a loose weave I don't have to really "punch" it hard. I'll show you guys sometime, you and Maureen and Lori. We should all get together soon. We can use my house if you want?
That's nice of you :) It would be nice to get together, but I don't think I'd have the patience to do this. When it comes to stuff like this I am all thumbs. I still have a half finished cross stitch I started when I was pregnant with Nik, lol.
Kristen, Is tomorrow the day when the Martha Stewart show you visited is aired?
Yes Priscilla, Tomorrow is the day ,if you were martha looking out at the audience. I am sitting all the way on the left in the front row, last seat. I have a white sweater on and a blue/green and white scarf
