Don't feel bad about getting lost, remember when I got lost on the way to work because of the detour? Now that's bad!!
Is the picture of the train a model or is it a distance shot of the real thing?
My eyeballs keep flipping back and forth between the two .....
I had to laugh about getting lost - I have to constantly check in on myself when I'm driving because I will get lost in my thoughts and end up in strange places.
I didn't actually see the train this year another girl sent me the pictures, last year it wasn't running so I didn't see it either. I think it is real though and takes people on a ride up the mountain.
Gettting lost really frustrates me, I get mad at myself because I am usually very good getting places even when I have no idea where I am going, but I was only 1/2 hour off track so I didn't do too bad. Cheryl sometimes I wonder if you can find your way out of your own yard!! You were very funny that day you had the detour, go all the way back to Granby and then to Simsbury?>? Silly girl, sometimes you just have to say WTF and take a chance, all roads lead to somewhere, take a few new ones once in a while and you maybe will learn a new short cut or see new things! Cindy can't figure out why all the roads "up here" are so twisty, in OK they all go straight! Must be like that in TX too?
When I was living up North, I had some kind of "internal compass" and I always sort of knew where I was even with all the twisty roads and hills that blocked your view. But after I moved to TX, with the flat country, a 360 degree view of the horizon and relatively long stretches of straight roads, I lost my little internal compass. I found that when I came back up North to visit Cheryl that I could not keep any sense of direction and was totally helpless about finding my way around .... really a strange feeling.
