Since no one ever fed the birds here in my area before me, it took the squirrels til the 3rd summer before they realized all the free goodies in those strange looking things on poles. Now they know what the feeders are and take full advantage of them.
GG has joined the dogs and Stitch in a merry game of "chase the squirrel" whenever they see one in the yard.
I rescued a little red squirrel that got stuck in our drain pipe and ever since I have three or four that hang around here, I think one lives in the garage walls, Harley sits there listening and I hear some rustling once in a while. I have not seen my blue bird in a while, but I ran out of food, since I have gotten more, the only visitors are the red guys. Once they know you feed them, they seem to never leave. How is the pregnant girl???
I made that dumb looking box to feed the blue bird worms, what I didn't realize is those worms crawled right out, now I put some seed in there for the cardinal, squirrels and other little birds that go in there.
GG is doing fine - her belly is getting bigger! She is quite the personality and still has all the kitten hi-jinks about her.
My pack of red squirrels are starting to become hooligans, not only did they eat all the buds on a rose bush, they stripped a geranium plant as well. And I've been feeding them!! So they aren't starved. I don't know what to do with them.
Oh hey there Cheryl, I thought you fell into a deep coma. Glad to see you out and about. How are you doing????
