This is what the side of the highway looks like in Franconia NH in June. I didn't take these but have seen it, I am usually on the motorcycle and they don't stop to take pictures while riding unless of course we see a moose or something!!

Does the State Highway Dept. seed wildflowers along the sides of the hignways up there?
TX did - it was spectacular in the Spring. FL is starting to do it some but not on the scale that TX did.
Reminds me of the bluebonnets in Texas~beautiful seemingly endless lines of blue along the highways.
I have no idea how they got there but it's quite nice to see them as you drive around the state, even on side roads there are huge patches of them
