Are these the new flowers you bought? I drove by Meadowview yesterday...the traffic was crazy!! Cars were parked across the street..I decided to come back another day.
yes those are what I bought yesterday, I spent $130, got all Perennials, about 15-20 plants I guess. I have to get more but need more money! It was crazy but because I had Ray's truck, I could park on a grassy hill with no worries of bottoming out like my car would have done!
I want to stop over & check out your gardens, you have really expanded them!
By the way...have you noticed how COLD it is today??!!
Sheesh.
You can come check out my gardens any time you want, no one is there during the day if you are in the area. I have not finished yet but I am working on it. I still have more dirt to move and have not even had the mulch delivered yet. I think I have just mastered trick photography to show the flowers! Your gardens are much nicer than mine!
Yes it's freezing, I had to go back and dig out my winter pants, I just put them away!
Great pictures! Is that blue flower a Phlox? I have a bush that has similar flowers, but it is a Plumbago.
I can't get over how big that Bleeding Heart is! It's gorgeous! Doesn't it die back to the ground at winter? How does it come back so big & so quickly?
Madeleine and I laughed about the cats. What is the black one's name? It looks like Whiskers.
Lately, Whiskers has been getting dive-bombed by one of the Mockingbirds .. which is odd, because she usually catches anything within a paw's swipe away.
Hey Denise,
The bleeding heart dies back in fall, it stays that big most of the summer, and it is an early bloomer, I swear it gets bigger every year, I don't do a thing with it, I must have picked a spot it likes. My mom has one too across the street that is just about the same as mine.
That is a Phlox, I have never had them, and I don't want it to take over the entire garden, I'll keep you updated.
The black cat is Jethro the orange is Harley or sometimes gets called Charlie
Wow.. Meadowview sounds pretty amazing! I wish I could stop in there. I can't imagine people following you to get your cart. I'll bet the Meadowview people are pretty happy!
Update needed!!!!!!!
Did you plant them yet? I have to run to town today, maybe I'll go snoop around your garden....did you get some mandevilla??
Gosh - you guys would just shake your heads in dismay at what makes up my "gardens". (( grin ))
Amazing amount of energy and money that you all invest - but it sure pays off - your results are fantastic!!
No I have not updated, I know, I tried this morning but I had left my camera in the ON position so the batteries were dead, I got my plants in the ground. I need bark mulch still, I am not totally done yet but I'm getting there, oh and my seeds are growing pretty good in the garage, you have to peek in the window to see, I left the door shut today since the sun was not shining
Biddie, I didn't spend that much this year, well I take that back, I got some new pots and stuff so I did, oh heck. It's so fun to see things grow though
