It will be fun for you watching the babies grow. Does the mother ever seem to notice your presence?
she sits on the eggs most all the time and we can watch her outside Elaine's window but whenever a client or we go out side, she flies to the trees. How are your eggs in the nest doing?
Good, I feel bad for the momma bird today though, it must be miserable sitting out there getting drenched by the rain. She has become used to me so she let's me stand right next to her without flying away. I can't wait for the babies!! I feel like I'm going to be a grandma :)
I just peeked at the nest as momma bird was off somewhere...there are still just the 3 eggs, no babies yet.
I saw a bear today at the Look~out when I drove to Granby. I smacked myself for not bringing my camera with me, but I would only have been able to get a shot of his bum as he bolted into the woods. He wasn't as big as others I've seen, so I guess he was probably a teen~ager bear.
How long does it take for the eggs to hatch any how? I think our momma bird is the same kind as yours, she is kind of plain jane brown.
How about Moe's birds did they fly the roost yet?
Cool about the bear, I stopped feeding the birds and I miss them but I can't have my new pole wrecked any more.
I carry my new little camera in my purse now so just in case I run into something!! I thought you would always have one with you since you travel the road least travelled over there!!!
I need to come over and visit, I wanted to ride my scooter over but I have to take it to Granby first and get gas, I am not much of a city rider so you can imagine why I have not done that yet!
Waiting ..... waiting ....
I just checked, eggs are all still there and nothing happening.
Yours might be a sparrow, but I'm guessing a different type, your eggs look bigger, whiter & there's much more of them.
I checked the nest today...nothing new.
I checked again today, all the eggs are in the same spot and they kind of have a blue tint now more than before and tiny little black spots like the size of pepper
The mom flies off so fast I never get to see her, but she is brown
