Ok My guess on the bird is a carolina wren.
I was going to suggest a wren...that's the same bird that moved into the same birdhouse I have! They must be partial to that type of house.
I love Fairy Grass...I had some last year & then totally forgot about it this year, I'm glad you reminded me..my peonies are starting to open, in fact I have 2 or 3 open right now.
You really did a great job with all your seedlings...to be honest you did much better than I ever have starting plants from seed.
Nope I changed my mind to a house wren
You are getting good at taking those closeups. I love the name "fairy grass" but I've not come across that type of plant before.
That Giant Globemaster is really neat! See it among the other plants gives us a good idea of how big it is. I wonder if we have those around here? I'm looking forward to seeing how all your seedlings progress. I can't believe how many you have, and how healthy they look!
Love the picture of Wiskers .. err.. I mean, Jethro. :o)
Ha Hi Denise,
Yes our twin kittes are funny
The Globemaster is a allium bulb, do you plant bulbs in the fall out there??? A couple of friends and I went in on an order to a bulb company because he has a wholesale license so we got them cheaper. Cheryl bought on at the local store though and planted it in the ground this spring I think.
Thanks Biddie, I crept up to that bird and took a couple dozen shots the entire way until she flew off.
No guessers on what kind of bird??
Cheryl you are the reason I got fairy grass, you are such a fairy, hee hee, sorry, I just made myself laugh, ha ha, you are really like snow white talking to the animals , oh dear I did it again, I think I am going crazy, it's so HOT In my office, ugh!
You made me giggle too.. fairyish? Hmmmm...maybe, in an extra large amazon type of way...do they make fairies that big?
We have baby birds over here!! I peeked in the nest & 2 were hatched & 1 was struggling to dislodge the piece of shell off of his head. I had to laugh as I watched him. I ran to get my camera but Momma bird had come back so I didn't want to disturb her...hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get some pictures.
Ohhh I am so jealous, I bet out babies would have been hatcing about now, darn..... I can;t wait to see your pictures!!
yeah that was supposed to be OUR not out
