We went to NY Friday afternoon, got up Saturday and went to the hardware store to get paint, brushes, etc etc etc. $150 later, we came home and my friend Teri helped me get these two rooms painted. These were the last of the rooms with dark paneling and it was like a dungeon in there. I am SO happy now, the rooms are bright and cheery. This house is old but now it feels so much neater and cleaner with bright white walls.

Painting the NY house.
We went to NY Friday afternoon, got up Saturday and went to the hardware store to get paint, brushes, etc etc etc. $150 later, we came home and my friend Teri helped me get these two rooms painted. I can imagine how much lighter it must look.
Years ago, when the kiddos were little babies, we lived in a log cabin type of cottage with old pine walls - it was soooooo dark. I debated for months about painting the old wood - finally, I did paint the walls a soft, warm off-white - I was so glad that I did...
