Started Cleaning up the yard

This is the pile of sticks I picked up Saturday, I worked for 2 hours outside

Sunday, my resident fire marshall came out to get things going

A little bit of lighter fluid helps

it was kind of wet so it didn't stay burning hot really

I can't figure out how to turn this picture after I already uploaded it, turn your head to the right and you get the picture!

Today I'll get out into the old garden & clear all the leaves out. I've procrastinated as that garden is kind of a pain due to the steep incline. It's supposed to be beautiful the next few days...woohoo! How are your seedlings doing?

Good Morning!! I got a good chuckle out of your sideways picture!! I do envy your energy!!!

This weekend was a loss here because of the storm that lingered all weekend - couldn't use the computer much because of the Th&L - rain, fog and mosquitoes were the companions of the duration ...

Glad to see that the weather was great up there!

Cheryl I think it's time for some more pics of your yard..... My seeds are still about the same, some have grown and some not a thing happening, batchelor buttons look the best, some hollyhocks are sprouting and the sunflowers
How about you, did you plant yours?
Biddie, today started off very cold looking and it felt that way when I went out in my long wool coat! THe sun is out now but I have not been outside, I brought my lunch today

Hi there Girly...I came in for a break...phoo I'm tuckered. I got the front garden about 1/2 done, did more cleaning up around the pond..and other odds & ends. I'm out of shape! There's still not a whole lot to see over here yet...oh, those darn red squirrels ate 2 of my oriental lillies..the little peckerwoods, all that's left of them are two gaping holes.

Wow! You can start a fire in your front yard?! I wish I could do that. .. I should try it just to see the looks on the neighbors' faces ..

yep Denise we live in the sticks!!
I call it a fire pit, if they (the fire dept) came by they would probably call it burning brush and give me a fine, you have to get a permit to burn, $10 permit vs $10 fine, whats the difference??
