Memorial Day 2007

You can see one Jet, they flew over so fast I was surprised I got this shot, that is the neatest thing to see these go flying over your head and the noise is amazing, enough to give you goose bumps!

I like small town parades. There's a small town (Wausau) about 2 miles north of where I live. They have a parade on the 4th of July that looks so much like your parade.

I was looking to see if I could spot you, Cheryl or Mo in the crowd - no luck.

I was there with Mo, didn't see Cheryl. Mo took pictures maybe hers will show up on her page today or tomorrow. Cheryl and I never did hook up this weekend, yo sister in law, how about tomorrow after work when I get home??

Howdy folks...Dave & I missed the parade this year, we spent the day with Dad & Lori. I should be home tomorrow if you want to swing by. We went to a garden store yesterday, and just like Lori told me those cement leaves were selling for $129.00!!! I'm definitely going to make some to sell.

Oh my, I guess you better make some of those. Bring to my next craft fair, I'll put them in my space for you. You didn't miss much at the parade except the speaker, every person that was leaving asked me who it was and who hired him, he stunk I guess but I couldn't even hear him. and he spoke for ever and ever. The pictures are pretty much the same as all the past years just different people.

Whenever I see those planes I always think of when Nik was a little boy...they screamed overhead and he instantaneously hit the decks~flattened himself upon the ground and lay there like a flounder....it was so funny. I think the parade makes Dave sad...it reminds him too much of your Dad. He never wants to go anymore.

I thought the same about the parade, he is not there and that was one of his favorite things, I remember since I was little him getting ready for it, he never could find his belt, pants, shirt, hat, etc and then when he finally did, nothing fit because he would wait until the last minute to get ready. I sometimes don't want to go because he isn't in it but I go because of the memories I have of him being there and I know he would like us to be there. I don't ever go to his grave and I should but the last time I tried to go on his birthday, I got stuck in the snow and thought I was going to have to spend the night out there in the dark, luckily I got out, stupid car of mine! and Stupid plow people don't plow all the way around the driveway in the cemetery.
Any how,I'll call you when I get home and see if we can come visit

I thought you were asking about tomorrow...today might not be so good, I just talked to Dave, he's on his way home as he doesn't feel good...he might not be up for visitors today.

Tomorrow sounds good. Hey, you should post some pictures of Alfie, since we are all thinking about him, it would be nice to see him. Only if you want to of course :) I'm sorry you had a rough day...lots of stupid people to deal with?

No Just busy junk. I will dig out some old pictures later if I can find them and put them up. We are heading out for food. I'll be back later.
