The Blue Bird came back

Sorry they are a little blurry but I was on the phone with Cheryl, looked out the window and got all excited that I saw this bird again. We are quite certain it is a Indigo Bunting, not a blue blue bird, I have some worms from the pet store to put out but I have to make something to put them in first and I don't want to put out at night and have some other wild animal take them before the bird comes back.

How's Jethro today?

Jethro is good, he was outside today after work, I just let him in to eat and time for bed.

I am so happy I am getting a strange bird at the feeder, I saw pam emmons tonight and she agreed it was an indigo bunting, she saw it the first time.

my goodness you are just a little wildlife habitat over there. I was lucky enough to see only one of those beauties while in FL and the State Park was on their migration/breeding route. I was able to be part of a bird banding project for painted buntings though and actually got to hold and band them. We even took blood samples as the immature males have the same coloration as the females. Only the males are the beautuful blue, green, red, yellow, and orange.

I have seen that bird three times now, I get all excited since I have never seen anything like that before. I have some worms from Emmons to put out there, she said they like those, but I need to build something to put them in
