My Niece Mariah

We went to band concert at school tonight, Corey played Tuba, Mariah, flute. I didn't even get a picture of my own kid....he was in the back of course, she came down to sit with grandma

Just for a moment I wish that I could have provided that sort of family for my kids, when they were little...but I know the step family drill.

I am not sure what you mean exactly but I feel left out sometimes with my own kid because it seems Lois & Scott have the kids that do everything and mine is not always included either because he isn't here all the time. Mother is definately more attached to my sisters kids more than mine.

I appreciate the way you reached out to my kids, especially Cara, it really meant a lot to me. Nobody else did, I guess that's what I meant by my earlier post, it was clear that they were step kids. I didn't realize you feel out of the loop with Corey, I guess it's not perfect anywhere, huh?

Nothing is perfect and not much we can do about except keep on living and be happy, it could be worse for us, we could live in a country that does not have food, water and a war going on around us. Look at the pictures on Mia Farrow's web site about Darfur, it's awful. Sorry to be depressing but I was actually trying to cheer us up because it's not as bad as we think. Don't worry... be happy.

Oh I'm fine, just every now & again I get mopey about the kids...but then I get back on track again. You can't be sad when you look into the face of a bulldog, you just have to laugh.

Ok just checking... I know your kids get you down sometimes, but that is not your fault, after a certain age, they will do what they want. Look at us, we were terrors too., well I was any how and we turned out ok. Who knows my kid could take a turn too, you never can tell, Someday they will change just like we did.
