Music Lessons

I learned so much this morning from an 11 year old. He was trying to tell me how great Ac/Dc is and Weird Al Yancovick. Well Duh! I said, that was out when I was your age, how do I still get classified as nerdy when he is now liking the same music I do? I even know all the words to these songs, so I hear "how do you know this song?" Oh well, I try to be hip and cool but your own kids will never think you are at this age, when he gets older he will figure it out (I Hope)

When Nik was younger I used to have endless debates with him regarding the rock~&~rolls classics like Led Zeppelin, of course now he loves them ..will he ever admit I was right? Nope...there is no human smarter than a preteen/teenager...get used to it! Corey is getting so big, I haven't seen him in awhile...the "little boy" is disappearing. After I get the lizard you'll have to bring him back over, he hasn't met the rat yet either.

I had to chuckle -- since I have been on the face of this ol' earth long enough to witness the interaction between several sets of generations, this is such a predictable pattern!! The only reward and paybacks you'll have is that someday he'll be on the receiving end of that pattern (( grin )). Right, Cheryl ?????

Corey is going to be a good-looking man - watch out ladies!!

Hey - something I noticed on your kitchen wall - is that ivy painted - it looks so real .....

My mother used to say that to me too and I think every other mother did, "someday you will understand" I always heard. I think back to my mother though when I was little, she never did anything with me like we do now. She was always doing housework it seemed, I try to stay away from that boring housework stuff.

Corey told me yesterday he had to get up on stage in school at the assembly and do some sort of dance and he had a posse of girls cheering him on!

That is a stencil of ivy, I was wondering if it was time for a change. I cheated, Cheryl painted hers and I used a stencil.
